A Georgia woman was arrested after Nebraska State Troopers discovered 130 pounds of suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop on I-80 Saturday evening.
According to Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas, the stop occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the Highway 50 exit when a trooper pulled over an eastbound Nissan Altima for speeding.
During the stop, the trooper noticed suspicious behavior, and a K9 from the Papillion Police Department detected the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed several trash bags in the trunk containing suspected meth.
The driver, Iesha Smith, 47, of Smyrna, Georgia, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. She was booked into the Sarpy County Jail.
