OMAHA, Neb. — Authorities are investigating a crash on Interstate 680 that left a 20-year-old woman dead overnight.
Omaha Police said an iPhone crash detection alert notified them of the incident on westbound I-680. Officers responded just after midnight and observed vehicle tracks leaving the interstate near 60th Street.
According to police, the tracks indicated that a Hyundai Azera veered off the right side of the road and down into a tree-covered ravine.
The woman inside had no pulse when officers reached her. They performed CPR until Omaha Fire Department medics arrived and declared her dead, the OPD said in a news release.
The crash is still under investigation.
