The grandson of a local state representative has died from injuries suffered in a tragic accident.
State Representative Alan Silvia released the following statement Friday:
“It is with profound sadness that State Representative Alan Silvia announces the passing of his grandson, Adam Khan, age 21, a United States Marine serving on active duty.
“PFC Khan was assigned to the Military Police at Camp Lejeune. He tragically sustained fatal injuries in a motor vehicle accident while traveling to his duty assignment.
“The family asks for privacy during this difficult time. Funeral service arrangements have not yet been announced.”
