4th person sentenced in Bowlmor Lanes fight

A fourth individual accused of rioting at Bowlmor Lanes in February has entered a plea.

Milad Badrani pleaded guilty on September 19 to a reduced charge of unlawful assembly. He was sentenced to a term not to exceed two years in the Iowa Department of Corrections, but the sentence was suspended. Instead, Badrani received two years of unsupervised probation and must pay an $855 fine plus a 15% crime services surcharge.

Earlier, Kevin Gilpin pleaded guilty in August to a lesser charge of unlawful assembly and was given two years of unsupervised probation. Garett Flynn was convicted in March of participating in a riot and received one year of unsupervised probation. Esmeralda Garcia pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, first offense, and was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. George James and Juan Pizano Jr. were also arrested and have hearings scheduled in their cases.

Davenport Police responded to Bowlmor Lanes on February 24 following a report of a large brawl involving more than 10 people. Six arrests were made in connection with the incident.
