Richard W. Lemke, 63, of LeClaire, died Wednesday night after striking a deer while riding his motorcycle on Sept. 26, authorities said.
According to Scott County Sheriff Tim Lane, Lemke was being treated at University of Iowa Hospitals for severe injuries from the crash but did not survive.
The sheriff’s office said Lemke hit a deer while driving, lost control, and skidded, causing the motorcycle to crash.
