Davenport Weather: Warm Friday Before Weekend Rain and Cooler Temperatures

Davenport, IA — After several mild, dry days, the Quad Cities region is expecting a change in weather heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

A warm front will move through Thursday and Friday, pushing temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s, well above mid-October averages. Breezy southwest winds will accompany the warmup.

A strong cold front is expected Friday night, bringing showers and a few thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday, with the highest chances of rain during the day Saturday.

Following the system, cooler and breezy conditions will set in, with highs near 70°F Saturday and dropping into the lower 60s by Sunday.

Tonight, isolated showers may occur but with minimal rainfall. More widespread precipitation is expected over the weekend as the cold front passes.

Residents are advised to monitor forecasts as fall-like temperatures settle into the region by the end of the weekend.
