WAVERLY, Neb. — A man wanted in connection with a Milwaukee homicide was arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol Wednesday morning.
Spokesman Cody Thomas said authorities received a tip that the suspect was traveling through Nebraska. A trooper spotted the vehicle traveling westbound on I-80 between Omaha and Lincoln, prompting additional troopers to respond.
A felony traffic stop was conducted near Waverly around 7:45 a.m., and the man, in his 30s, was taken into custody without incident. I-80 was closed for approximately 30 minutes during the operation.
The suspect remains in custody pending extradition back to Milwaukee.
