Two-Vehicle Crash at Highways 30 and 385 in Sidney Sends Multiple to Hospital

SIDNEY, NE – Emergency crews responded Thursday morning to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries at the intersection of U.S. Highways 30 and 385 in Cheyenne County around 10:15 a.m.

According to authorities, a flag car for trucks moving a mobile home may not have fully stopped at the stop sign and pulled out in front of a southbound pickup truck towing a trailer loaded with construction equipment. The pickup t-boned the flag car, sending it into a ditch where it caught fire.

There were three people in the pickup truck and one in the flag car. All were transported to Sidney Regional Medical Center with injuries.

Traffic in the area was temporarily halted while first responders worked on the scene but lanes reopened by about 11:30 a.m.

  • Three ambulances from Sidney Regional Medical Center

  • Sidney Volunteer Fire Department

  • Region 21 Emergency Management

  • Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office

  • Sidney Police Department
