North Texas Sees Chilly Morning, Warm Afternoon Ahead

North Texas woke up to chilly conditions Wednesday morning, with lows dipping into the 40s. DFW Airport reported 53°F, marking the coldest morning since May 4.

Despite the crisp start, afternoon temperatures are expected to climb into the low 80s under sunny skies, with low humidity and southeast winds at 5–10 mph.

Upcoming Weather:

  • Thursday: A warm front will bring a chance of showers and storms during the day, with activity continuing overnight.

  • Friday–Saturday: First Alert Weather Days issued due to strong storms and flooding concerns. A cold front will arrive Friday, tapping into enough moisture for severe storms Friday night through Saturday morning. Scattered showers will linger into Sunday morning, with sunshine returning by Sunday afternoon.

Residents are advised to secure Halloween decorations and outdoor items ahead of the stormy period.
