OHIO — Starbucks employees across Ohio have joined a nationwide strike demanding higher wages, improved staffing, fair schedules, and stronger job protections as the company prepares for its busy holiday drink season.
“Starbucks knows where we stand. They know our demands,” said Michelle Eisen, a spokesperson for Starbucks Workers United and a 15-year barista. “We’re ready to negotiate whenever Starbucks is willing to bargain in good faith and offer proposals that address our needs.”
The coordinated action is part of a national movement involving 70 pickets in 60 cities across the U.S., as baristas continue to push for a fair union contract.
In Ohio, strikes are scheduled at the following Starbucks locations:

Ontario: 2172 Walker Lake Rd. — Sunday, Oct. 26, at noon

Bowling Green: 1560 East Wooster St. — Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m.

Cleveland: 11302 Euclid Ave. — Saturday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m.

Worthington: 7176 N High St. — Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.
Workers say the strikes will continue unless Starbucks returns to the bargaining table and makes meaningful progress toward a fair contract.
