A cold front will move through North Texas on Saturday, sparking scattered showers and thunderstorms before a cooler, drier stretch begins.
Friday evening brought heavy rain and severe thunderstorms to much of the region, marking the most intense weather of the weekend. As the trailing front pushes through Saturday afternoon, more scattered storms could develop across the area.
Although the severe threat is lower, there’s still a 1-out-of-5 risk for strong to severe thunderstorms, mainly producing hail and damaging winds.
Rain and storms are expected to clear early Sunday morning, allowing dry air to settle in for several days.
By midweek, temperatures will drop into the upper 60s, setting up a pleasant Halloween forecast for North Texas.
