South Floridians woke up to a Halloween treat with temperatures dipping into the upper 50s and low 60s across Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The Keys also enjoyed comfortable conditions with temperatures in the low 70s.
Despite the morning chill, the afternoon will be pleasant with highs in the upper 70s and plenty of spook-tacular sunshine. Lower humidity and dry conditions will make for perfect Halloween festivities, with sunset at 6:45 p.m. A BOO-tiful evening awaits trick-or-treaters as temperatures fall into the low 70s, with only a few creepy clouds drifting by. Cooler temperatures will continue as the night progresses.
There is a moderate risk of rip currents along Atlantic beaches, but no alerts or advisories are in effect for boaters in Atlantic or Keys waters.
Saturday morning will start off cool again, with lows in the low 60s across Broward and Miami-Dade and upper 50s inland. Highs will reach around 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
This weekend also marks the end of Daylight Saving Time. Clocks will fall back one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday. We’ll get an extra hour of sleep, but sunrise will be earlier at 6:30 a.m., and sunset will shift to 5:38 p.m.
By Sunday, temperatures will begin to warm. Morning lows will be in the upper 60s and low 70s, with highs climbing into the low 80s along with a slight chance of a few showers.
Expect warmer weather early next week, with highs in the low 80s and the possibility of spotty showers.
