Former Bellevue Police Officer Arrested in Nebraska Child Enticement Investigation

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) — A former Bellevue Police officer has been arrested following a child enticement investigation conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol, authorities confirmed.

Ryan Agustin, 38, of Bellevue, was taken into custody Friday on charges connected to the production of child sexual abuse material.

According to court records, the criminal complaint containing detailed allegations remains sealed, partly due to Agustin’s law enforcement background.

In a statement, the Bellevue Police Department said it was informed of possible criminal conduct involving Agustin. The department immediately requested the Nebraska State Patrol to investigate and placed him on administrative leave pending the outcome of both the state and internal investigations.

After reviewing the investigation’s findings, the department terminated Agustin’s employment. He was officially fired on Friday before being arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol. A spokesperson confirmed that Agustin had been on administrative leave since June. He originally joined the department on June 25, 2018.

Authorities said the investigation is still ongoing.
