Quad Cities Iowa – Fugitive Alert: $1,500 reward offered in Davenport fatal crash

Davenport, IA – Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities has raised the reward to $1,500 for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with a deadly motorcycle crash in Davenport. Officials say the search has now widened across the Quad Cities, and investigators are urging the public to come forward with any tips.

According to Crime Stoppers, the suspect—whose name authorities have released but is being withheld here under reporting standards—allegedly wrecked a motorcycle on May 26, 2025, near 49th Street and Pine while riding recklessly and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The crash happened around 10:22 p.m.

Police say the passenger, 31-year-old Samantha Burke, died from injuries suffered in the collision. Investigators believe the suspect lost control of the motorcycle, causing the fatal crash.

Davenport Police have issued an active warrant charging the man with Homicide by Vehicle, OWI–Homicide by Vehicle, and Reckless Driving–Serious Injury by Vehicle. Authorities believe he may still be in or near the Scott County–Quad Cities area.

Crime Stoppers announced Wednesday that the increased reward is meant to encourage more leads. All tips remain anonymous.
