CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (WNYT) – Police have identified the victim of Sunday’s fatal Northway crash as a 71-year-old man from Ballston Lake.
William Reichman died after a crash around 8:11 p.m. in the southbound lanes just south of Exit 11 in Clifton Park. State Police said another vehicle rear-ended Reichman’s car, pushing it off the shoulder and into a guardrail.
Reichman got out of his vehicle and was hit by a tractor-trailer, sending him into the driving lane, according to police. Another southbound vehicle then struck him.
Reichman was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers are cooperating with the investigation, but police are still searching for the tractor-trailer.
