One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting Tuesday night in Pompano Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded around 7:30 p.m. to reports of a shooting near the 600 block of West Sample Road.
When first responders arrived, they found one person who had been shot. The unidentified victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where they later died.
Deputies later learned that a second person had also been shot and was taken to a local hospital by someone else, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation is ongoing.
