Former Davenport Central security guard indicted on federal child sex charges

DAVENPORT, Iowa — A former security guard at Davenport Central High School has been federally indicted for sexual exploitation and lascivious acts with a minor.

Noah Sxavier Garcia, 25, faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child, attempted sexual exploitation of a child, and attempted enticement of a minor in U.S. District Court in Davenport. A jury handed down the indictment on Sept. 9, and a trial is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 27.

Earlier this year, Garcia faced three separate cases in Scott County Court. In January, he was charged with lascivious conduct with a minor, a serious misdemeanor. In May, he faced charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and grooming and enticing a child under 16. In July, he was charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. All state charges have since been dismissed following the federal indictment.
