Thousands without power across Florida

FLORIDA — Thousands of residents across Florida were without electricity Tuesday, according to outage data from PowerOutage.com.

As of the latest update, about 5,294 customers were reported without power statewide out of more than 11.7 million customers being tracked. The figures were updated within minutes and reflect ongoing outages across multiple counties.

Escambia County recorded the highest number of outages, with 1,976 customers affected. St. Lucie County followed with 848 customers without electricity.

Other impacted areas included Clay County with 382 outages, Miami-Dade County with 380, and Collier County with 379. Smaller numbers were reported in Pinellas County, where 171 customers were affected, Okaloosa County with 151 outages, and Orange County with 117.

The outage map did not immediately specify the causes of the disruptions, and utility providers had not released estimated restoration times. Power companies typically assess outages to determine whether they stem from equipment issues, weather conditions, or other factors.
