KCSO investigating Christmas Eve stabbing

Kern County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a stabbing on Christmas Eve that left a man from Taft injured.

Taft Police began looking into the incident after the victim arrived at a residence on South Tenth Street around 9:20 a.m., bleeding from his injuries. Deputies were later called when authorities determined the stabbing happened in the 100 block of Pico.

The victim, identified only as a 46-year-old man, suffered a stab wound to the leg and a slash wound to his wrist.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, he was taken by ambulance to Kern Medical with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The KCSO said the victim is not cooperating with investigators. The investigation remains ongoing.
