Roads may still be difficult this morning, as temperatures dropped into the teens overnight. Much of the area received 3 to 5 inches of snow, however the accumulation has stopped for the day.
There may still be a few flurries about, but the main story today is the cold, with wind chills near zero this morning and just about 10 degrees this afternoon.
A modest wave of energy will pass through tonight, bringing us another round of snow showers later. Parts of the area could wake up to a fresh inch of snow Friday morning, with heavier amounts more possible as they travel north of Pittsburgh.
The pattern will remain quite tranquil during the first several days of 2026. The weekend will bring some sun, although the highs will only reach 30 degrees. A ridge of high pressure will form next week, allowing milder air to move north. We could be talking about highs around 50 by the end of next week!
