Woman Accused of Pulling Driver From SUV During Miami-Dade Road-Rage Attack

A Homestead woman accused of dragging another driver out of an SUV during a road-rage incident in Miami-Dade has been arrested, authorities said.

Jessica Dawn Torres, 40, was taken into custody on a charge of burglary with assault or battery following the incident, which occurred Friday evening near Southwest 8th Street and Southwest 147th Avenue, according to an arrest report.

According to the report, a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy said Torres and the other driver were involved in a road-rage confrontation before both vehicles came to a stop.

Torres then exited her Toyota Corolla, pulled the other driver out of her Honda CR-V, and began striking the victim repeatedly, the report stated.

Another driver who witnessed the incident stopped and stepped in to separate the two women.

The victim suffered injuries to her mouth and face and received treatment at the scene.

Torres told authorities that the victim had exited her vehicle and thrown coffee at her. Despite that claim, she was arrested and booked into jail, according to the report.
