Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Scheduled Across Region

Several county health departments in west-central Illinois are offering flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics as the flu season approaches.

Influenza can occur year-round but is most common from October through May, peaking between December and February. Symptoms include fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, sore throat, cough, and a runny or stuffy nose, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. COVID-19 symptoms can be similar but may also include shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Health officials recommend vaccination for both flu and COVID-19.

Residents attending the clinics should bring their insurance cards.
