A Prospect Heights woman has been acquitted in connection with a 2021 hit-and-run crash that killed a 22-year-old Glenview man.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said a car struck Wojciech Glowik shortly after 2 a.m. on October 9, 2021, in the 200 block of Route 45 and left the scene. Glowik was found unconscious and taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he died two days later, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Prosecutors originally charged Amanda Cisneros-Elacio with failure to report an injury. Nearly four years later, a judge found her not guilty on two felony counts.
Glowik’s family remembered him as “humble, kind, sweet, smart and handsome.”
