Three Dead, One Seriously Injured in Volusia County Hit-and-Run Crash

Three people were killed and another seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Volusia County, Florida, late Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. in DeBary and involved four vehicles: a Dodge Durango, a Ford Focus, a motorcycle, and a Honda Pilot.

Troopers said the Durango driver changed lanes, striking the Focus and triggering a chain-reaction collision. The motorcycle rider and the driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot were all killed. Another person sustained serious injuries.

The Durango driver fled the scene. The vehicle was later recovered unattended in a parking lot and taken as evidence.

The crash remains under investigation.
