As we move into Tuesday and Wednesday, afternoon highs will climb into the mid to upper 80s, and humidity will remain high. Heat index values are expected to rise into the lower 90s, though showers will become less widespread compared to Monday.
By Thursday, a cold front will approach the region, bringing cooler and drier air by Friday. This shift will lower temperatures to near seasonal averages, with morning lows dropping into the upper 50s—right on track for this time of year.
