A blast of cold air is coming to Florida. How low will it go in Miami?

The rain has mostly cleared from South Florida, and a pleasant change is on the way.

Wednesday, which started in the upper 60s and low 70s in Miami-Dade and Broward, will be warmer and drier than Tuesday, which saw nearly nonstop rain.

By Thursday morning, cooler air will move into South Florida. While Central and North Florida can expect temperatures in the 30s and 40s, South Florida will see a milder drop, with lows in the mid- to upper-50s.

“Sweater weather is around the corner,” said CBS News Miami meteorologist Shane Hinton.

As the front passes, cooler and drier air will settle in between Wednesday and Thursday, Hinton explained.

“We are going to see some improvements,” he said. “It will be feeling a lot cooler.”
