Blue Grass Man Arrested on Multiple Charges in Kalona

A 24-year-old Blue Grass man was arrested Tuesday morning in Kalona on several charges, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a Kalona residence around 5:30 a.m. for a domestic abuse report.
Court documents say Rushman allegedly wrapped his hands around the victim’s neck and squeezed for 30 seconds to a minute.
