Booneville Woman Charged in $15K Embezzlement Case

A Booneville woman has been arrested in connection with an embezzlement investigation involving a local business on North Second Street, according to the Booneville Police Department.

Police said patrol officers received the initial report on August 14 and referred it to the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. After the investigation, 35-year-old Adreanna S. Ragin of Booneville was arrested on September 30 and charged with one felony count of embezzlement exceeding $15,000.

Booneville Municipal Court Judge Greg Meyer set Ragin’s bond at $10,000. Authorities confirmed that the case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury.

The Booneville Police Department noted that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
