It’s been a cold and snowy start to December, with average temperatures well below average, but that will finish just in time for Christmas.
According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, a warmer weather pattern will arrive on December 20 and last until Christmas and a few days after that.
“The will mean rainfall events will be more likely than snow through this period,” the National Weather Service writes on X.
High temperatures are forecast to remain in the low-to-mid 40s through the end of the year and early January 2026.
So, if you’re expecting for a white Christmas, all of the snow from the weekend may have melted by late next week.
