Cold front to bring temps in the 60s to South Florida. But first, rain

After morning commuters dealt with slick roads, the next round of rain will likely arrive as the front moves in Monday afternoon.

Don’t put away the umbrella just yet. Before South Florida enjoys cooler temperatures, more rain is on the way.

The cold front is expected to arrive later Monday, allowing temperatures to climb back into the mid-80s. The rain is welcome, too, because the region needs it.

Commuters in Broward and parts of Miami-Dade saw wet roads early in the morning, but most of the first half of the day should remain smooth.

The next burst of rain will likely develop as the front moves in during the afternoon, with a stray storm possible.

As for the cool down, expect it to be noticeable but not dramatic.

Lows will dip into the 60s, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

Cold front brings chilly start to the weekend with temps in the 50s and 60s
These temperatures are typical for this time of year, and the comfortable weather should stick around all week.
