Davenport woman arrested; charged with threatening with butcher knife

A Davenport woman is being held in the Scott County Jail without bond after police say she threatened people with a large knife.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Scott County Court, Davenport Police officers were called to the 1900 block of W. 40th Street on November 18 for a disturbance. The victim reported that a woman armed with a large knife entered her home and threatened to cut the people inside.

The defendant, identified as Dionna Cameron, allegedly entered the occupied home without permission while several people were inside. Police say she carried a large butcher knife and threatened two residents, claiming she would slice and stab them. Cameron reportedly held the knife over her head in a stabbing position to intimidate the victims and put them in immediate fear for their lives.

Officers arrested Cameron and charged her with first-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree harassment. She remains in the Scott County Jail without bond while awaiting her initial court appearance.
