Deputies Search for SUV in NW Miami-Dade Hit-and-Run That Injured Motorcyclist

MIAMI-DADE — The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that injured a motorcyclist.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Jan. 6 near Northwest 54th Street and 22nd Avenue.

Deputies said the victim was riding east on 54th Street when a red 2017 GMC Yukon Denali traveling in the opposite direction collided with her. The SUV was last seen heading south on Northwest 22nd Avenue and 54th Street. It reportedly has damage to the right side, including the front right door and possibly the front right fender.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the vehicle, the driver, or the SUV’s whereabouts to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477). Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
