Eight Arrested in Itawamba County Drug Investigations

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The Itawamba County Sheriff’s Office and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit have made eight arrests this month during a series of drug enforcement operations.

Officials said six separate investigations since early October led to the arrests.

On October 16, deputies, along with agents from the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, stopped a vehicle in Golden. During the search, officers reportedly found a felony amount of methamphetamine.

Deputies arrested the driver, Danny Wade Bone, charging him with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. He is being held without bond.

The following day, in another Golden traffic stop near Walker Church Road and Brown Road, deputies, Fulton police officers, and narcotics agents found more methamphetamine inside a vehicle.

Two suspects, Casey Taylor Little and Joshua Dale McMahan, were arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Bond for both Little and McMahan was set at $15,000 each.
