A Florida woman has been arrested after she allegedly totaled a man’s car moments after he struck her vehicle with a baseball bat during a road rage confrontation in West Palm Beach — and it all unfolded right in front of police.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy witnessed the entire altercation. The incident began when a man driving a black car stopped suddenly in the middle of traffic, apparently because his car had stalled.
The woman, who was driving behind him, was forced to stop and began honking her horn repeatedly, according to a probable cause affidavit.
In response, the man got out of his vehicle with a baseball bat and struck the driver’s side door of the woman’s car.
She Fought Back — With Her Car
After being attacked, the woman drove around the stalled vehicle, then put her car in reverse and rammed the man’s car, completely totaling it. She told officers that she intentionally hit his vehicle to disable it, adding that she had learned the maneuver in a defensive driving course.
Since the incident occurred directly in front of a deputy, she was immediately arrested and charged with criminal mischief over $1,000. Authorities did not report any charges against the man who wielded the bat.
Social Media Reactions
The bizarre confrontation quickly spread online, where many users sided with the woman.
“SHE IS A QUEEN AND A TREASURE,” one person wrote on Threads.
“Where’s her bail fund link?” another commented.
“She looks rightfully pleased with herself in that picture. Good job, girl!” said one supporter.
“He should count his blessings she didn’t also carve her name into his leather seats,” joked another.
While the case remains under investigation, it has already become another unbelievable Florida road rage story — one that even the deputy on scene likely won’t forget anytime soon.
