Five seats on the Florida Gaming Control Commission have been provisionally filled after Gov. Ron DeSantis made a series of appointments and reappointments this week.
DeSantis announced that Julie Brown has been appointed chair of the board overseeing gambling issues across the state. Peter Cuderman and William Spicola were named as new general members, while John Michael D’Aquila and Tina Repp were reappointed to continue serving on the commission, according to a news release.
Brown is stepping into the chair role after previously serving as vice chair of the commission. She brings extensive experience in Florida government, having served as secretary of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
