Jennings County Deputies Arrest 5 Adults, 4 Teens in Stolen Vehicle After North Vernon Burglary

NORTH VERNON, Ind. — The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested five adults and four teenagers during an active burglary in Country Squire Lakes on Tuesday night, October 14.

At around 12:54 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence where a 911 caller reported that someone had broken and forced open a bedroom window before leaving in a vehicle. Deputies located a stolen vehicle traveling on County Road 300 North matching the description. The vehicle was stolen from Jackson County.

Working with the North Vernon Police Department, deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop on North State Street near Taco Bell. All five adults and four teenage juveniles were removed from the vehicle and detained.

The teenagers were transported to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office to await legal guardians, while the adults were interviewed on scene and remanded to jail on preliminary charges.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

    • Possession of a Legend Drug – Level 6 Felony

  • Allan Olmos, 20, Seymour, IN

    • Minor Consumption – C Misdemeanor

  • Jason Griffith Jr., 18, Seymour, IN

    • Minor Consumption – C Misdemeanor
