MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A juvenile was injured Thursday morning in a traffic crash involving an electric scooter, authorities said.
The incident occurred just after 10 a.m., when preliminary reports indicate the juvenile struck the side of a moving vehicle while riding in the roadway.
After the collision, the juvenile ran home to alert their parents, who arrived at the scene shortly after.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the juvenile to a local hospital in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
