Los Angeles residents should make the most of the current stretch of sunshine, as a subtle shift toward cooler, wetter weather is on the way. According to the National Weather Service’s extended forecast, early morning fog will clear today, revealing partly cloudy skies and warm sunshine with highs near 80 degrees. However, the pleasant conditions won’t last all week—rain chances are expected to creep in later.
Nighttime and early morning fog will continue through the start of the week, briefly dimming the city’s famous blue skies before giving way to bright afternoons. By Monday, temperatures are forecast to climb toward 92 degrees, with Veterans Day seeing highs around 81.
Midweek will bring noticeable changes. Wednesday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies and cooler highs near 76 degrees, followed by increased cloud cover overnight and lows around 58. By Thursday, a slight chance of showers enters the picture, with partly sunny skies and highs cooling to about 72 degrees.
The week begins ideal for beach outings and patio lunches, but by Thursday, an umbrella might be a smart accessory. As always, Los Angeles weather proves it can swing from summer warmth to hint-of-winter cool in just a few days—keeping Angelenos on their toes.
