Los Angeles residents are soaking up the sunshine while they can, as forecasters warn that the city’s warm, dry spell could give way to showers later in the week.
According to the National Weather Service, early morning fog will clear to reveal mostly sunny skies today, with temperatures nearing 80 degrees. But the clear, comfortable conditions won’t last forever — clouds are expected to build gradually over the next few days, hinting at a cooler, wetter pattern ahead.
Nighttime fog will continue to make an appearance through mid-morning each day, while daytime highs climb toward the upper 80s and even low 90s by Monday. Veterans Day should bring pleasant weather, with sunshine and highs near 81 degrees — perfect for outdoor ceremonies and gatherings.
By midweek, a noticeable change arrives. Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies and a cooler high near 76 degrees. As the evening sets in, clouds will thicken once more, bringing temperatures down to around 58 degrees overnight. Thursday could see a slight chance of showers, with daytime highs dipping to about 72 degrees.
Angelenos might want to enjoy their beach plans early in the week and keep a light jacket or umbrella handy later on. True to form, Southern California’s weather is set to deliver a bit of everything — sun, fog, and maybe even a few raindrops.
