MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Pablo Virgilio Chubbeb, a Guatemalan national, after he was accused of raping a 22-year-old woman in southwest Miami-Dade.

Charges: Chubbeb faces one count of sexual battery with threats.

Incident Details: The alleged attack occurred near the 22000 block of Southwest 189th Avenue in the rural Redland area this past Friday. According to the arrest report, Chubbeb approached the victim, saying, “You’re going to give it to me or I’m going to take it,” before forcibly removing her pants and raping her. He allegedly threatened her, warning that harm would come if she reported the assault.

Investigation: Deputies reported that Chubbeb confessed to the attack during questioning. It has not been confirmed whether he was known to the victim.

Custody Status: Chubbeb is being held without bond on an immigration hold at the Metrowest Detention Center.
