A Florida man has pleaded guilty to multiple charges after attacking a teenage girl at her bus stop.
Raymond DeJesus entered a guilty plea to five charges, including kidnapping and sexual battery, for assaulting a 15-year-old girl at knifepoint while she was walking to her bus stop, prosecutors said.
As part of the plea agreement, DeJesus agreed to serve 25 years in prison, followed by 10 years of sexual predator probation. The agreement also prohibits him from having any contact with the victim.
During the court hearing, DeJesus told the court that he cannot read or write in English as he was advised of his rights. Prosecutors confirmed that by pleading guilty, DeJesus waived his right to appeal. His attorney reconfirmed the plea, and DeJesus agreed.
Sentencing is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
