MERCER CO., Ill. (KWQC) — A Mercer County sheriff’s deputy accused of driving the wrong way on I-74 while intoxicated has pleaded guilty, court records show.
On Tuesday, 25-year-old Lewis Andrews pleaded guilty to DUI and driving the wrong way on a highway. The court dismissed a separate charge of improper lane usage.
Andrews was sentenced to 12 months of supervision, according to online court records.
He was initially charged in April with DUI, driving the wrong way on a highway, and improper lane usage. In June, TV6 Investigates obtained dash cam footage of the incident.
