Miami Weather Whiplash: From Near-90° Heat to a Chilly Cold Front Early Next Week

Miami is soaking in a late burst of summer warmth, with highs near 88°F under mostly sunny skies. The heat will linger through the weekend, with temperatures possibly touching 90°F, according to Local 10.

But change is on the horizon. A strong cold front is expected early next week, sending temperatures tumbling across South Florida. Forecasts indicate readings could dip into the 40s and 50s by Tuesday morning—a sharp contrast to the weekend’s balmy conditions.

The weekend will stay mostly dry, with only a 20% chance of isolated late-day thunderstorms. Tonight’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a low near 73°F, with a gentle west wind around 3 to 5 mph, the National Weather Service reports.

As the new week begins, the outlook remains largely dry, though winds will strengthen with gusts possibly topping 23 mph by Monday. The incoming front signals a dramatic shift—from summerlike heat to crisp, breezy weather that will have Miami residents reaching for a light jacket.
