Motorcycle Crash in Florida Claims One Life

A 55-year-old man from Holiday, Florida, died Wednesday afternoon following a motorcycle crash, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported.

The crash occurred around 3:16 p.m. at the intersection of Holiday Lake Drive and Solar Drive. According to FHP, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Holiday Lake Drive at a high rate of speed while passing other traffic. A sport utility vehicle, driven by a 41-year-old woman from Plant City, was traveling northbound on Solar Drive and attempted a left turn in front of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.

The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released.

The SUV driver sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
