North Dakota Man Arrested on St. Lucie County Fraud Warrant

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. — A 24-year-old man, Kylen Running Hawk, was arrested in North Dakota on Dec. 16 on a warrant issued by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office related to a 2024 investigation into alleged economic crimes targeting county residents.

Authorities said Running Hawk was taken into custody in Bismarck with assistance from local law enforcement. He was arrested without incident and is being held at the Burleigh County Jail pending extradition to Florida.

Under Florida law, Running Hawk faces multiple charges, including:

  • Fraud or swindle involving property valued under $20,000

  • Fraud or impersonation using another person’s identification without consent

  • Grand theft involving property valued at $750–$5,000

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office highlighted that the arrest reflects ongoing efforts by Detective Corporal Redler to coordinate across states to apprehend suspects accused of defrauding local residents.

Officials noted the investigation is still active and emphasized that all charges are allegations, and Running Hawk is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
