FLORIDA — The Stuart Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Officers responded to the scene around 5 a.m. in the 900 block of Southeast Tarpon Avenue. Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
According to officials, the suspect has been taken into custody, and the victim is expected to survive.
As the investigation continues, Southeast Tarpon Avenue remains closed between Lake Street and Church Street. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
