Orlando, Fla. — A Florida woman is celebrating after claiming a $1 million prize from a scratch-off ticket purchased at Publix.
The Florida Lottery announced that 56-year-old Jeaquelinne Lizarazo claimed her winnings from the 500X THE CASH scratch-off game at the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee on Dec. 8. Lizarazo opted for a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.
She purchased the winning ticket at the Publix located at 5240 W. State Road 46 in Orlando.
The $50 500X THE CASH game features a top prize of $25 million and is the largest Florida scratch-off game to date. With over $1.66 billion in total cash prizes, the overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 4.23.
