CAMP POINT, Ill. — A pedestrian was killed Thursday afternoon after being struck by an Amtrak train at the railroad crossing on North Ohio Street near East State Street, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The Adams County Coroner pronounced the individual dead at the scene. Authorities temporarily blocked South Ohio and West and East Jefferson streets during the investigation.
