The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio, predicts two rounds of accumulating snow, which could hamper travel over much of the region from Thursday night to Saturday.
According to experts, the first system will arrive tonight, producing 2 to 4 inches of snow by early Friday morning.
The timing of the snowfall is expected to affect the Friday morning commute, with slick roads and poor visibility, particularly in central and southwest Ohio.
A second system is expected to arrive shortly after. Another 2 to 4 inches of snow may fall in the area starting Saturday afternoon and lasting through Saturday night. According to the NWS, this fresh precipitation may present new travel concerns as we approach the weekend.
Forecast maps show totals ranging from 2 to 4 inches for both occurrences, with locally greater amounts likely. Residents are advised to be informed and prepare for possibly hazardous traffic conditions during both bouts of snowfall.
