The National Weather Service issued a report Sunday at 2:57 p.m. warning of snow showers across Berkshire County through 3:45 p.m.
“At 2:56 p.m., a band of heavy snow showers was near Austerlitz, or nine miles southwest of Pittsfield, moving south-southeast at 15 mph,” the weather service said.
Areas affected by the alert include Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Austerlitz, Housatonic, Stockbridge, Canaan, Richmond, West Stockbridge, Alford, Mahkeenac Heights, Glendale, Tanglewood, Williamsville, Carey Corner, Mahkeenac Terrace, Tanglewood Performing Arts Center, Interlaken, Risingdale, and West Stockbridge Center.
